I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for a long time. These days I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
I worked for UniSoft Systems back in the early 80s. I was at Lucasfilm/Pixar briefly and then at Apple Computer for a very long time. I worked on A/UX, the Pink/Taligent project, Copland, MkLinux, Rhapsody/MacOS X. After which I was so burned out I couldn't even tell I was burned out. Now I work for Incyte Genomics on stuff that actually ships in a reasonable amount of time. Well, actually not for much longer, I'm getting laid off.
When I was part of the MkLinux team (briefly) I wrote a disk partitioning tool called pdisk. It understands MacOS-style disk partioning, which is (of course) different from the DOS/Wintel style. There is also a MacOS version of pdisk. It is incredibly lame from the MacOS point of view, since it is still line-oriented rather than visual, but you are welcome to build a better front-end if you want to.
I like games and puzzles. (Big suprise, the guy's a programmmer...)
Like most people on the web I write about one thing and another (including a weblog). Hey, no one is forcing you to read it...
The pages on this site were generated using Genpage. My site has a simple static structure so I don't need anything elaborate. The only (mildly) clever thing I do is generating the 'map' page automatically.
